Live-Action Teen Titans Movie Coming From DC Studios

Teen Titans will make a return to cinematic screens - live action version this time - according to THR reports. Warner Bros and DC Studios led by James Gunn and Peter Safran have confirmed this plans with Ana Nogueira penning its script; she previously was attached for another "Supergirl" project that ultimately didn't pan out, according to Nogueria herself. So you have it, right? Good.

Teen Titans first debuted in 1964's pages of "The Brave and the Bold", created by Bob Haney and Bruno Premiani, before going on to appear across various forms of media including animated series such as "Teen Titans Go!" franchise as well as live action series like "Titans", which became known primarily due to letting Robin say the F word on screen.

As this new movie may present an entirely fresh take on these familiar characters, feel free to put behind you all of their previous incarnations!

Teen Titans: The Movie

Teen Titans' roster differs depending on who tells their tale; typically though, Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg Nightwing Raven Starfire are the core members. When will we see Robin make his first appearance? Andy Muschietti who directed "The Flash," as it stands would likely direct this film adaptation too if we ever get around to seeing one at all?

"Teen Titans" joins James Gunn and Peter Safran's growing portfolio of DC projects being shepherded at Warner Bros. under their joint direction - such as Gunn's new "Superman" movie which will see its premiere next summer. Warner Bros. has not had great luck in crafting DC films due to trying to replicate Marvel Cinematic Universe films through reverse engineering; whether Gunn & Safran's leadership will turn things around remains to be seen.
