One Of Succession's Greatest Monsters Is Playing The Beloved Creator Of The Muppets In The SNL Movie

Jim Henson's singular creativity continues to inspire adults and children 34 years after his untimely, tragic death. We need them more than ever, regardless of whether they teach us how to count, or if they are joking around with real-life movie stars. The Muppets are felt-furry machines of joy that mirror their creator's vision for the humanistic world.
If you are asked to portray Henson for a movie about "Saturday Night Live" in the 1970s, you may want an actor who has played characters that have demonstrated these qualities. You might not think immediately of Nicholas Braun.

Braun is best known as the conniving cousin Greg in Jesse Armstrong's hilarious corporate media parody "Succession." Braun's characters make us shiver. He was cute as Zack Attack, but this was nearly two decades ago. Now a man of adulthood, he is a jerk expert.

He's set as Henson for Jason Reitman in "SNL 75," a film that the director wrote with Gil Kenan, his collaborator on "Ghostbusters: Afterlife." Reitman assembled a large ensemble cast in the past couple of months and has mostly avoided major names. Braun is the most notable name in his current cast.
Braun could also bring other baggage into the production, which has nothing whatsoever to do with his role as Cousin Greg.

Braun is accused of inappropriate behaviour towards young women

A number of women claimed that Braun had inappropriately acted towards them as teenagers. According to one Twitter account, Braun has a "strange affinity for following girls underage on social media." This account claimed to have screenshots but did not want them posted.
Braun has also been accused of trying to attract college-aged women at Ray's Lower East Side Bar, which he owns along with Justin Theroux.

Reitman, Braun and the rest of "SNL 1975" team have probably looked at these stories and determined that they are able to move forward with Braun in a good conscience. Filming is set to start this month.
