Kevin Conroy's Batman And Mark Hamill's Joker Will Share The Animated Screen One More Time

01-03-2024

The arguably greatest Batman-Joker combination in cinema history will reunite for one final time. This reunion is a big surprise. Mark Hamill, who played The Joker in the Batman film of Kevin Conroy before his death, will reprise that role. Conroy voiced Batman for many decades. From "Batman: The Animated Series", in the early ’90s, to Conroy's premature death in 2022. Conroy was confirmed to be the voice of Batman again. Now, it's been confirmed by Hamill that he will reunite with Conroy in his final posthumous performance.

IGN reports that Hamill's Joker, and Conroy’s Batman will both appear in "Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Three". Part two of this adaptation of DC Comics' classic storyline will be released in April. The first half of the film has been out for a while, and the second part is already available. Warner Bros. is revisiting many DC Animation projects from the past because it's such a large multiverse story. This storyline also allows for the reunion. This film is the final chapter in what was dubbed "the Tomorrowverse," which began with "Superman: Man of Tomorrow" released in 2020. We've written previously about how to enjoy the DC Universe original animated movies in the right order. Check that out for more information.
The third film will also feature Corey Stoll as Lex Luthor, Brian Bloom as Adam Strange (and Sidewinder), Elysia Rotaru and Armen Taylor in the roles of Black Canary and Cheetah respectively. Dean Winters is Captain Storm.

Clown Prince Of Crime And Caped Crusader Reunited

Conroy's voice has been used for Batman on several video games released after his death, including "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League." Hamill hasn't voiced Joker for several years, in part because of Conroy’s death. In the aftermath of Conroy’s passing, the actor best known as Luke Skywalker from the "Star Wars" series has stated several times his intention to retire the role. He said that "crime has no punchline without Batman" at Fan Expo San Francisco, in November 2023.
Conroy's and Hamill’s last project in which their voices appeared together was "Justice League Action" (which aired from 2016 to 2018). Their other projects include "Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker," the video game "Batman: Arkham," and the 2016 R-rated adaptation of "Batman: The Killing Joke," in which Conroy described a scene as making him "really happy" to be an actor.

The release date of "Justice League Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Three" is not yet known, but the film should be released this year. Look for "Part Two", on the shelves, or via a retailer digital of your choice on April 23rd 2024.
